Hi, I’m Erin, also known as the "Tampon Fairy" 😉🧚

I’m an American, a wife, a mother of two, and the founder of Evi Mae--the first tampon brand designed specifically for Thai women.

During college, I lived in Thailand as a volunteer, where I learned Thai and developed a deep appreciation for Thailand's culture and people. When I was preparing to move to Thailand, I was advised that I would need to bring my own tampons if I wanted them, as they weren't widely available. Once there, I was glad to have brought a suitcase full of tampons with me, since I rarely saw them in stores, and I never saw applicator tampons (the most popular kind here in the U.S.)

I was surprised—why weren’t Thai women using tampons when they offer so many advantages over pads? In the years since, I've found that tampons are still not well-known in Thailand, but also that many women face misconceptions or uncertainty about their use. 

This inspired me to create Evi Mae, to provide high-quality and eco-friendly tampons for Thai women, and to become the "Tampon Fairy," to use social media to educate and break down myths about tampons.

I’m on a mission to help Thai women be more comfortable and confident during their periods!

ฉันเป็นคนอเมริกัน เป็นภรรยา เป็นแม่ลูกสอง แล้วก็เป็นคนก่อตั้ง Evi Mae ที่เป็นแบรนด์ผ้าอนามัยแบบสอดแบรนด์แรกที่ออกแบบเฉพาะมาสำหรับสาวไทย

ตอนเรียนมหาวิทยาลัย ฉันเป็นอาสาสมัครที่ไทย ก็เลยได้เรียนภาษาไทย ได้รู้จักแล้วก็หลงรักวัฒนธรรมไทย มีเพื่อนสนิทเป็นคนไทยด้วย แต่ตอนเตรียมย้ายไปที่ไทยมีคนแนะนำให้เอาผ้าอนามัยแบบสอดไปเองถ้าอยากใช้ที่นั่นเพราะหาซื้อยาก พอได้อยู่ในไทยจริงๆ ฉันก็ดีใจที่เอาผ้าอนามัยแบบสอดไปเต็มกระเป๋าเลยเพราะไม่ค่อยได้เห็นวางขายในไทยจริงๆ   แล้วถึงผ้าอนามัยแบบสอดจะมีขาย  ฉันก็ไม่เคยเห็นแบบมีหลอดสอดเลย (ในอเมริกา ผ้าอนามัยแบบสอดแบบมีหลอดสอดขายดีกว่า)

ฉันเลยแปลกใจว่า ทำไมสาวๆไทยไม่ใช้ผ้าอนามัยแบบสอดในขณะที่มีหลายเหตุผลที่ทำให้มันดีกว่าผ้าอนามัยแบบแผ่นมาก หลังจากนั้นมาหลายปี ผ้าอนามัยแบบสอดก็ยังไม่ค่อยมีใครรู้จักดีที่ไทย แล้วหลายคนก็ยังมีความเชื่อแปลกๆหลายอย่างเกี่ยวกับการใช้ผ้าอนามัยแบบสอด บางคนก็ไม่แน่ใจว่าจะใช้ยังไง

เรื่องนี้ทำให้ฉันเกิดแรงบันดาลใจที่จะก่อตั้งแบรนด์ Evi Mae เพื่อที่จะสร้างผ้าอนามัยแบบสอดคุณภาพเยี่ยมที่ดีกับโลกเราด้วยให้สาวไทย แล้วก็ตั้งตัวเองเป็น นางฟ้าแทมป้อนที่จะใช้โซเชียลมีเดียให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับสรีระผู้หญิงเรา พร้อมกับเปลี่ยนความเชื่อผิดๆเรื่องการใช้ผ้าอนามัยแบบสอด

ฉันกำลังตั้งใจที่จะข่วยให้สาวๆไทยเปลี่ยนความเชื่อ แล้วสบายตัวขึ้น มั่นใจขึ้น ทุกรอบเดือนจากนี้ไป
